Oxybutynin (Ditropan) is an antispasmodic, or anticholinergic, used to relax muscles in the urinary bladder. When patients take this medication, their bladders are able to hold more urine. Ditropan is used to treat symptoms of overactive bladder, including urinary incontinence, frequent urination, and the need to urinate at night.
Dosage
Ditropan is available in tablet form. The usual dose is 5mg 2 to 4 times per day.
