How much does a QuickMD doctor's visit cost?
You only pay $75 for a standard visit, which includes any prescriptions that may be required. A visit for a Suboxone (buprenorphine-naloxone) prescription as part of Medication-Assisted Treatment (TeleMAT) is $99. If we are unable to help you, get your money back.
Can I also use my insurance?
We do not directly work with insurance companies, however in most cases QuickMD visits can get reimbursed with most private insurances that allow out of network visits, and all you pay is the co-pay. Just forward the encounter report (which contains all information needed for reimbursement) to your insurer.
What kind of medications can I get prescribed?
We refill the most common medications, and can provide you with new prescriptions if medically warranted and safe. However we are unable to prescribe controlled substances (other than Suboxone), high-risk medications like cancer medications and others.
Note: The health of our patient is the most important goal for us, and we therefore only prescribe medications if they are indicated (e.g. antibiotics for the common cold or viral bronchitis might cause you harm).
Does this replace an in-person visit? What about the physical exam?
Advances in telemedicine technology and video quality have made remote on-demand care a great and affordable alternative to in-person clinic visits, without the high costs and long wait times for appointments or in waiting rooms. Many conditions can be diagnosed and treated remotely with doctor-guided exams that can be done over video. However, sometimes an in-person visit is necessary, and if we cannot help you, you will receive a full refund.
Can I get diagnostic tests done (e.g. blood tests, urine tests, HIV, STD testing etc)?
Yes. We partnered with Quest Diagnostics, which offers hundreds of different diagnostic tests. If you need testing done, our doctor will send an electronic order to one of the more than 2000 ‘Quest’ locations, whichever is closest to you. Once the results are available we will email you and if anything is concerning, we will follow up with you for free. Remember everything is confidential, including STD and HIV testing.
Is my visit confidential and private?
Yes. Our platform is encrypted and fully HIPAA-compliant and we never sell your information to third parties for profit. Just like an in-person visit, what you share with our doctors is protected.
Who are the QuickMD doctors?
Unlike other telehealth services, we only hire top US-trained and licensed specialists who trained at Ivy-League schools.
