What are medical devices and why do I need a prescription?
Medical devices and supplies is somedimes also known as ‘Durable Medical Equipment’ (DME). While of of these, like oxygen concentrators, CPAP and BiPAP machines require a prescription in order to be allowed to be purchased, some do not require a prescription.
The devices and equipment that do not require a prescription however, will likely not be covered by any insurer, unless they are prescribed by a physician. Examples would be hospital beds, commode chairs, blood sugar meters (glucometers). These will need to be paid for by the patient unless they are deemed medically necessary by a licensed providers and a prescription has been written.
How much does it cost to get a prescription?
It only costs $75 to for an online consultation, which includes a prescription when medically necessary, with no hidden fees. If we cannot help you, your visit is free.

Will this be confidential and private?

Can I use my insurance?
While we currently do not accept insurance, most PPO insurances will reimburse your visit with us. You may howver use your to cover the price of the actual medical device. Contact your insurer and the supply store prior to a consultation to check if a certain model will be covered by your insurance provider.
