‘Weight Loss Non-Branded Semaglutide’ is a service that includes a consultation and the price of non-branded weight loss medication – without subscription.

Due to our high volume of patients, we are able to also source non-branded semaglutide weight loss medication and have it shipped to your home for $249. This service includes a  consultation, the prescription, and the cost of the non-branded medication (one non-brand semaglutide vial) which lasts most patients approximately 5 weeks. 

Shipping takes approximately 7-10 business days via FedEx. As an additional service to our patients the non-branded semaglutide  pen(s) will be mailed out in a cooled package. Please note that the medication will not be affected if the ice is melted when the package arrives (the medication may stay at room temperature for up to 4 weeks without cooling and returns for melted ice cannot be accepted). 

If the provider determines that you are not a good candidate for this medication, your visit is free, and you will receive a full refund. ‘Weight Loss Non-BrandedPlus’ is provides non-branded semaglutide  at a steeply discounted price and is not eligible for insurance reimbursement.

The process is simple: start by creating an account, then choose your preferred plan: Weight Loss Plus, Weight Loss Non-Branded, or Weight Loss Basic. ‘Weight Loss Plus’ includes a consultation and the cost of a 1-month prescription Ozempic pen shipped directly to your home. Weight Loss Non-Branded includes a consultation and the cost of a 1-month non-branded semaglutide vial shipped directly to your home. Weight Loss Basic includes the consultation and a prescription sent to your preferred pharmacy (the cost of the prescription from the pharmacy is an additional, separate cost).

Your provider will ask you a few questions during your consultation. If you are a good candidate for this medication, the provider will write a prescription and send it to your pharmacy or our mail-order pharmacy partner to be shipped to you.

If we cannot help you or, after discussing alternatives you decide to not proceed, your visit will be refunded.

This medication is meant for overweight patients, generally with a BMI greater than 27.5. There are 4 large studies that all show that this medication is highly effective to achieve weight loss in people who are overweight. In a large study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Semaglutide (which is the active ingredient in both Wegovy and Ozempic) led to an average weight loss of about 15% of the body weight in about a year, which is an average total weight loss of about 33.7 lbs.

A healthy diet and excercise are always preferred over medications. However, when serious attempts have been made to lose weight without success, medications can be considered, and can be highly beneficial for the health. However, please note that these weight loss medications should always be combined with a healthy diet and regular excercise.

Our “Weight Loss Basic’ service is $75. Included is a consultation with one of our weight loss specialists and an Ozempic/Wegovy prescription sent to your pharmacy. 

Please note that health insurance generally does not cover the cost of Ozempic/Wegovy for weight loss. We are therefore offering a discounted price to QuickMD patients for less than half the cost of the Ozempic cash price at the pharmacy.

Wegovy and Ozempic are self-administered by the patient into the fat tissue by a pen injector on a weekly basis. The medication can be picked up at any pharmacy that carries it–just like any other medication and it does not have to be administered by a healthcare professional. Or our Weight Loss Plus tier includes the consultation and the discounted cost of the medication shipped to your home.

The injection itself is easy to do, but may cause some minimal pain or discomfort. Some of our patients prefer if a family member helps with the injection.

The dose depends on each person’s tolerance to the medication, but generally each month the medication dose will be increased, until a maintenance dose is achieved.

The initial prescription is for 4-6 weeks depending on dosage. Each subsequent follow-up visit would assess if the dose is well enough tolerated to go to the next higher dosage for the next 4 weeks. The maximum maintenance dose is usually achieved after about 2-3 months. The medication is taken for as long as it is beneficial to the patient, and can even be taken long-term to maintain the weight if stopping the medication causes weight gain.

Generally, the medication has to be started at a lower dose to prevent side effects. The starting dose is generally 0.25 mg weekly. Every 4-6 weeks the dose can be increased–depending on how the next higher dose is tolerated–until the desired weight loss effect is reached. 

The optimal dose to obtain the desired weight-loss effect and minimize side-effects is generally around 1 mg per week. Only some patients need higher doses. 

Note that the Ozempic pen contains multiple doses inside (e.g. the 2 mg Ozempic pen has 8 doses of 0.25 mg, the 4 mg pen has 4 doses of 2 mg).

Generally Ozempic/Wegovy is tolerated well by most of our patients. However, any medication can cause side effects and depends on each individual.

Weight Loss Basic prescriptions will be sent to the pharmacy of your choice and are usually available to be picked up within a few hours of your appointment.

Absolutely! This medication is meant to aid traditional weight-loss efforts like dieting and excercise and should be taken in addition to a calory deficit diet and regular exercising. Please note, that dieting and excercising are always preferred for weight loss over taking medications. 

However, the reason this medication may still significantly benefit overweight patients who haved tried dieting and excercising is the fact that obesity has such harmful effects on the human body in the long-run.

The FDA allows for compounded medications as long as there is a federally-declared shortage of the name-brand version. The major difference with the compounded weight loss product is the route of administration. The compounded product must be drawn up with included syringes, much like diabetics do with insulin.
